Water Hygiene Engineer - Barking
£26,000-£32,000 per annum + benefits (Depending on Experience)
Our client, established over 70 years ago, has grown into a leading consultancy offering sustainable solutions in planning, engineering design, and project delivery. They excel in property, infrastructure, environment, and energy sectors. Currently, they are looking for a Water Hygiene Engineer to join their award-winning team in and around the Barking area. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Water Hygiene Engineer seeking professional growth and well-being within a supportive organisation.
Skills and Experience Required:
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in plumbing (preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role
- Full UK driving licence
- Proficiency in the water treatment industry, including ACOP-L8 knowledge
- Successful completion of a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse and maintain closed systems
- Conduct scale inspections and perform de-scaling works
- Inspect and clean Cold Water Storage Tanks (CWST) and cooling towers
- Service and inspect thermostatic mixer valves
- Sample water systems for Legionella
- Perform reactive maintenance and Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM), including temperature checks and heating system checks
- Travel for work in and around London
