Application Support Analyst

Location: Hybrid - based in Doncaster 2-3 days per week.

Purpose of the Role:

Join our client's team as an Applications Support Analyst in a role where you will deliver high-value service and systems expertise, ensuring stakeholders can effectively utilize their suite of applications.

The application support analyst will be accountable for application performance, security, optimized configurations, training coordination, documentation, ongoing product enhancements, and providing outstanding user support.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Prior experience in an Application Support role.
  • Commitment to personal development and quick adaptability to new applications.
  • Experience with Document Management software and/or Forms-Based software is a plus.
  • ITIL knowledge
  • Highly personable with great customer facing skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion IT and business initiatives, acting as the focal point for application utilization.
  • Ensure application performance, security, and optimized configurations.
  • Coordinate training and produce relevant documentation.
  • Drive ongoing enhancements and provide exceptional user support.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for applications, offering second-line support and maintenance.
  • Lead on enhancements and minor changes.
  • Liaise with third-party application providers to resolve support issues, monitor application availability and performance, and conduct regular review calls.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

  • Passionate about applications support with the confidence to proactively identify and implement improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborative, accustomed to interacting with various stakeholders, and representing the company in user communities.
  • Creative problem-solver with the ability to take ownership of application projects or changes.
  • Effective communicator capable of simplifying technical information for diverse audiences.

This person will be a key part of a user-facing team that focuses on delivering business enhancements while adhering to strict SLAs for Business as Usual (BAU), working in a dynamic environment that values creativity, collaboration, and straightforward communication. You'll have the chance to become the go-to person
