RE Teacher

SER (Southern Education Recruitment) are working with a secondary school in Medway who are looking to appoint an RE Teacher to join their team in September. Position:

  • Start date September 2024
  • Permanent Full Time Position (there is also the potential for part-time 3 days)
  • Subject - Religious Education (RE)
  • Salary MPS (depending on experience & qualifications)

Position Requirements:

  • Plan & deliver engaging RE lessons from GCSE up to A level (essential)
  • Knowledge of RE curriculum
  • To ensure continuity, progression and cohesiveness in all teaching.
  • To use a variety of methods and approaches to match curricular objectives and the range of pupil needs.

Successful candidates will work alongside the Head of Department and other experienced RE staff members to deliver a broad and varied curriculum.

Be able to commit to working the hours specified above.

Provide an enhanced DBS registered on the update service. If you do not hold a valid DBS be willing to apply for a new DBS. The cost of a DBS is a one-off payment of £48 with an annual subscription of £13 per year to the DBS Update Service.

If you have been a UK resident for less than 5 years, a right to work visa must be provided and a criminal background check certificate must be provided for any country resided in for 6 months or more within the past 5 years.
