Account Director

Broster Buchanan are partnered with a quickly growing public sector procurement solutions business who are looking for 2 Account Directors to continue to drive growth for the business by developing key public sector accounts. These are both mostly hands on sales roles and would suit someone with a strong understanding of procurement processes and regulations, with any public sector experience being beneficial but not essential. One role will focus on bigger, central government clients and one smaller, local government clients.

These roles are being offered with fully remote working and a basic salary of £65k - £70k + commission, with a realistic OTE around or above £100k.

Responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships with central government stakeholders, including procurement officers, department heads, and other decision-makers.
  • Tailor their procurement services to meet the unique needs and challenges of each department.
  • Identify opportunities within government departments and develop strategies for continued growth.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to create tailored proposals and presentations.
  • Lead the end to end sales process from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure.
  • Stay up to date with market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to bolster decision making
  • Work with marketing to develop targeted campaigns.
  • Monitor key performance metrics for the accounts and provide regular reports to senior leadership teams.
  • Lead a team of direct reports, ensuring their development and monitoring their performance.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in a similar Account Management/Director role, with any public sector experience being highly beneficial
  • Must have a deep understanding of UK procurement processes and regulations
  • Significant experience managing the whole end to end sales lifecycle from lead generation to deal closure
  • Ability to understand customer issues and develop tailored solution proposals to address these problems
  • Previous experience managing, mentoring and developing a sales team, with good experience reviewing and implementing sales strategies
