Financial Controller

Our client is a national business who provide high quality goods within a niche marketplace, the business is PE backed and has grown consecutively for the past few years. They have recently acquired a couple of business' within their portfolio so they can provide a more rounded and in-house experience for their clients within their market place.

They are now looking to recruit an experienced Financial Controller to join them in this newly created role, where you will be integral in providing financial leadership and support across the business. You will be confident with reporting the month end and year end numbers, yet also be effective in providing robust controls and processes.

As Financial Controller your duties will include: -

  • Responsible for the preparation and presentation of the month end management reports including P&L and balance sheet ready for review
  • Preparation and continually review of the 13-week cashflow forecasting for the subsidiaries within the Group
  • Provide accurate various analysis around revenue and GM reports, liaising with all key stakeholders and ensure full understanding of the financial information
  • Closely monitor the WIP and associated timeframes and cost management on projects
  • Manage the collections and efficiencies of the debtor's ledger
  • Work closely with managers across the business with overhead expenditure and raise accountability
  • Prepare and manage the reconciliations of the monthly payroll
  • Maintain the stock ledger and reconciliations of inventory and stock movements
  • Responsible for the fixed asset register

You'll have first-rate communications skills and be able to translate financial data into actionable information for the board and SMT. As such, you'll need a confident personality who enjoys interacting with all levels and departments in a business.

Ideally you will be qualified within the profession (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) and looking to take ownership of a couple of subsidiaries within the Group being fully immersed within the reporting and supporting the business strategy moving forward.
