An opportunity for a part qualified Assistant Accountant to join a successful Fintech business in Southampton has arisen to cover maternity. They are recruiting a minimum 6 month contract with an extremely high chance of the role becoming permanent. You will need to be, immediately available, studying AAT, CIMA OR ACCA
Key Responsibilities:
- Monthly bank account reconciliationstion
- Create and post journals
- Petty cash payments, transactions and reconciliations
- Expense claim payments
- Month end control account reconciliations
- Monthly transaction review of the balance sheet and P&L
- Transaction monitoring
- Ensure all financial operations processes are documented
- Financial analyses
Skills and Experience needed
Essential
- CIMA / ACCA / AAT qualified or part-qualified (or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a finance team
- Self-disciplined and organised
- Excellent attention to detail
- Confident user of Excel, Word and Outlook
- Be able to prioritise tasks effectively and work well under pressure
- Capable of working independently, being proactive and a good relationship builder
- Good analytical ability and commercial acumen
