Job Description
ADM Agriculture operates from locations throughout England and offers a people-based quality service to farmers and consumers. As well as providing an integrated supply chain to ADM's UK assets in milling and oil seed crushing, ADM Agriculture supply a full range of non-grain feed ingredients to the feed and fuel markets, alongside a comprehensive range of seed and fertiliser products.
Role Purpose
To be part of our feedstuffs shipping team, working alongside the Shipping Manager and Trading team to support on the import of feedstuffs into the UK and France.
Your Responsibilities
- To provide administrative support to the Farm Trading team.
- Assisting Farm Traders day to day - answering calls, contract entry, sending out sample results, contract amendments, giving prices for grain/seed/fertiliser.
- Proactively contact farmers to support Farm Trader business.
- Entering new accounts and making amendments.
- Maintenance of spreadsheets to determine availability/quality and pricing requirements of forward contracts.
- To contact prospect customers via telephone to create leads for Farm Traders.
- Assisting the Farm Trading desk with campaigns providing relevant information is presented in an accurate and timely manner.
- Assisting with the organisation of farmer events.
- To assist with organisation of samplers and their workloads during harvest.
Your Profile
- Excellent communication skills being able to interact and build relationships both internally and externally.
- Experienced in the use of Microsoft IT software - Outlook, Word, Excel utilising skills into using bespoke systems..
- Literacy - good English required, both spoken and written.
- Comprehension - ability to read and interpret contract clauses, documents, regulations, etc.
- Numeracy - good standard of numeracy required.
- Languages - basic knowledge of European language/s helpful but not essential.
- Ability to engage positively with others, being a strong team player.
- Good timekeeping skills with a 'can do' attitude.
