Environmental Specialist required. My client is a leading Resin and Polymers manufacturer based in Wigan that supply products to a range of industries globally. They are looking to hire an Environmental Specialist to join their established team in Standish, Wigan. The ideal candidate will have a background in Environmental management, will be familiar with ISO:14001 & ISO:50001, will be have strong understanding of key environmental legislation and will be based within a commutable distance of Standish, Wigan.

Position Overview
- Identify new business opportunities to improve the environmental management system
- Managing the business's environmental management program
- Provide guidance and support on environmental legislation
- Manage waste minimisation for both sites
- Championing environmental improvements via the Asset plan and CapEx programs
- Internal improvements on 12 principles of green chemistry
- Ecovardis reviews and assessments
**Environmental Specialist
Position Requirements
- Degree qualified in Environment Management or Chemical Engineering
- Previous experience in the Oil & Gas, Chemical or Petrochemical industry
- Working knowledge of key environmental legislation
- Strong knowledge of abatement systems and techniques
- Auditing experience
- Knowledge of ISO:14001
- Knowledge of ISO:50001 Energy Management
- Based within a commutable distance of Wigan

Position Remuneration
- Salary £38,000 - £40,000 DOE
- Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:00 / 09:00 - 17:00
- 33 Days holiday inclusive of bank holidays
