Position Title: Business Development Manager

Salary: Competitive and Dependent on Experience + Company Commission, Performance-based Bonus & Pension Contributions (after initial 6 months' probation)

Location: Peterborough, PE2 6FL.

Reports To: Head of Sales & Marketing

Job Type: Full-Time in Office - 9am to 5:30pm - 30 min lunch break - Monday to Friday.

They are seeking a motivated and dynamic Business Development Executive to join the team and drive growth in new and existing markets must have a proven sales experience and record and problem-solving attitude to succeed in the role.

Job Summary: You will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to expand the market presence of our power supply unit Sales. This role involves market research, lead generation, customer engagement, and strategic planning to drive sales growth and achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1 Market Research and Analysis:

2 Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients and new market opportunities.

3 Analyse industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to develop effective sales strategies.

4 Lead Generation and Prospecting:

5 Generate new sales opportunities by utilising various methods at their disposal.

6 Customer Engagement:

7 Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.

8 Present and demonstrate the features and benefits of our power supply units to potential customers.

9 Understand customer requirements and provide tailored solutions to meet their needs.

10 Visit customers as necessary to secure the business

1 Sales Strategy and Planning:

2 Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand market share.

3 Collaborate with the sales team to align efforts and share market insights.

4 Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and contracts.

5 Collaboration and Communication:

6 Work closely with the marketing team to develop effective promotional materials and campaigns.

7 Coordinate and collaborate with other members of the team.

8 Provide regular updates and reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and market feedback to senior

management.

9 Performance Monitoring:

10 Track and analyse sales performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies.

11 Adjust sales tactics and approaches based on performance data and market feedback.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or in a related field would be beneficial.
  • Full driving licence.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the electronics or power supply industry.
  • Strong understanding of electronics power supply units and their applications.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
