We are seeking a dedicated Humanities Teacher to join a highly regarded secondary school in the Luton area. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified teacher who is passionate about education and is confident in teaching Humanities at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The role is set to begin in September and is a permanent position.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Delivering engaging Humanities lessons to students at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Preparing lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments in line with curriculum requirements.
- Adapting teaching methods to cater to a range of abilities and learning styles.
- Encouraging students to develop a passion for the subject and a curiosity for learning.
- Collaborating with colleagues within the department to share resources and best practices.
- Participating in departmental meetings, school training, and professional development opportunities.
- Providing feedback to students and parents on academic progress.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A formal teaching qualification is required; ECTs will be considered.
- Confidence in teaching Humanities to a diverse range of abilities.
- A strong passion for Humanities and a commitment to education.
- The ability to adapt to new environments and think on your feet.
- A collaborative spirit, willing to work as part of a team within the department and the wider school.
