We are looking for a 'Traffic Signal Engineer' in Liverpool.
You will be working full time, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
The contract is initially for 6 months and then a chance of extension from there.
About:
We require an experienced UTC traffic signal engineer for the role of Principal Engineer in a busy UTC control centre based in Liverpool City centre. Liverpool Council manage and maintain over 400 sets of traffic signals using Yunex UTC UX system, 60 VMS/CPG systems via Stratos, traffic signals queries and HVM bollards.
Responsibilities:
InView/UTC UX - Pass traffic signal faults and manage the repairs/temp clears on FMS/interrogate controllers and UTC system for errors
Bag and Switch Offs (BASO) management and invoicing
Stratos - Strategy manager updates for LFC and EFC to ensure the signal timings change on match days
UTC UX - Network monitoring and action UTC plan changes/SCOOT changes and hurry calls for incidents
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a traffic management or urban traffic control role
Proven experience in managing and supporting UTC systems
Strong understanding of traffic management principles and practices
