our key responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
- Working on strategic green field and brown field projects in Prime Brokerage and Business as Usual requests
- Proposing improvements related to the development and support activity
- Troubleshooting production system support issues
- Software maintenance and upgrade
- Liaising with different teams to re-solve/get dependencies on time
Profile
A Successful Junior Software Engineer will have:
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience working in software development
- Knowledge and experience of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) activities
- Hands on experience across Java, SQL Server, Postgres, Angular, Spring, Docker
- Commercial experience of Unix shell scripting & Messaging (Kafka, JMS, Solace)
- Prior Knowledge of Gitlab source control, CI/CD. DevOps
- Experience of digital assets and technologies as a bonus
- Exposure to Test-Driven Development or Behavior Driven Development as an advantage
- Cloud technologies, deployment, design and any PostgreSQL/Sybase experience as a plus
- Previous Experience within the financial services industry
