This large independent firm of accountants have an opportunity within their team for an experienced Manager. This company prides themselves on their people first attitude which focuses on looking after each other as well as their clients.

This director-led practice works with business owners and directors at every stage of their business lives, from start-up through to growth and consolidation and on to succession and exit strategies. Alongside advising clients on personal financial and tax planning issues, to help them achieve security and peace f mind, now and for the future.

As a member of this team, the role of the Manager is responsible for a portfolio of accounts clients and requires an experienced practice accountant with an emphasis on client service, assignment delivery and the development through coaching of more junior staff.

What will the Accounts Manager role involve?

  • Managing a portfolio of clients delivering accounts-based services.
  • Supervision of work of more junior staff including planning, briefing, guiding, review and feedback.
  • Managing relationship with clients, including agreeing of timescales and deadlines, managing fees and billing, first port of contact for clients, running client meetings.

Suitable Candidate for the Accounts Manager vacancy:

  • Professionally qualified in the form of ACA or ACCA with relevant experience with regards to managing clients and supporting members of the team.
  • Work in a supportive, caring and collaborative way with colleagues at all levels. React positively to requests for support from colleagues and be proactive in offering assistance, when required.
  • Excellent communication skills to ensure strong client relationship are maintained combined with a commitment to continuous learning and self-improvement.
