In this rewarding role, you will provide essential support to our residents, enhancing their quality of life and ensuring they feel valued and cared for.
**Key Responsibilities:
- Personal Care Support: Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility, ensuring their dignity and comfort at all times.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship, actively engaging residents in conversation and activities to promote their mental well-being.
- Care Plan Implementation: Work closely with the nursing team to implement and follow individual care plans tailored to the unique needs of residents with dementia.
- Health Monitoring: Observe and report any changes in residents' health or behaviour to nursing staff promptly to ensure timely intervention.
- Safety and Hygiene: Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming living environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Team Collaboration: Work as part of a dedicated care team, sharing knowledge and support to ensure the highest standards of care.
**What We're Looking For:
- Experience & Qualifications: Previous experience as a Care Assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not essential. Qualifications in Health and Social Care or related fields are beneficial and may influence your pay rate.
- Compassionate Nature: A genuine passion for caring for individuals with dementia, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect with residents and their families effectively.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team while being adaptable to the individual needs of residents.
- Flexible Availability: Willingness to work shifts from 8am to 8pm and alternate weekends
