Technical Security Consultant – Secure by design
£60,000 - £85,000 + excellent benefits
Location - Remote UK with travel to client sites as required.
As a key member of the Consulting team, you will support both new and long-term clients across various industries, helping them design and implement tailored security architectures and solutions. Working closely with clients, you'll leverage your expertise in information security and security architecture to complement their internal Cyber and Information Security teams, providing strategic business insights alongside technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the development and implementation of client IT security frameworks, including:
- Policies, principles, and standards related to Security Architecture across the organization.
- Ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulations, such as ISO/IEC 27001/27002/27005.
- Creation of security patterns, models, and blueprints.
- Defining current and future-state security architectures.
- Developing a security architecture roadmap.
- Monitoring security technologies and performance indicators (KPIs).
- Applying architecture-specific tools and methodologies.
- Advocate for Secure by Design and architectural principles to mitigate information risks.
- Identify and assess security risks within proposed solution architectures,
- Provide expert validation and assurance of client security architectures and proposed solutions.
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience in reviewing security project plans, evaluating security technologies, and developing requirements for cloud and network security designs.
- Previous experience developing security architecture roadmaps promoting Secure by Design principles.
- Knowledge of ISO/IEC 27001/27002/27005 standards.
- Strong knowledge of network and security technology evaluations
- Experience working to HMG and NCSC security policies, standards, and guidelines.
- Strong stakeholder management skills
Clearance required:
You will be able to obtain or already hold government security vetting at SC level
