Position: Construction Estimator
Location: Portsmouth
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 + Package DOE

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Construction Estimator with procurement experience to join our dynamic team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for either an expericned candidate a junior candidate who is eager to develop their skills, as comprehensive training can be provided.
Experience in roofing will be considered an advantageous asset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Estimating: Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
- Procurement: Manage the procurement process, including sourcing and purchasing materials, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery.
- Project Analysis: Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Budget Management: Assist in preparing and maintaining project budgets, ensuring projects are completed within budget.
- Vendor Management: Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors, ensuring competitive pricing and quality materials.
- Bid Preparation: Compile and submit comprehensive bid proposals, including detailed cost breakdowns and schedules.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, architects, and clients to provide accurate estimates and support project planning.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all estimates, contracts, purchase orders, and other relevant documentation.
Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in construction management, quantity surveying, or a related field is preferred but not essential.

Experience:

Prior experience in construction estimating is required.

Procurement experience within the construction industry.

Roofing experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
