We are looking for a National Account Manager to join a growing Sales Team, managing National Accounts & Merchant Groups for a supplier of DIY products.

They are looking for an energetic, driven, and intelligent National Account Manager to drive business with national retailers, merchants, buying groups and distributors.

The Role

The role will be to improve brand visibility and introduce new product ranges to your clients. This exciting position will play to the strengths of those who enjoy developing long term relationships and excel in a fast-paced environment.

  • P&L to deliver sales and profit targets through your customer portfolio, creating annual commercial account plans for each customer,
  • Identify new customer business opportunities and open accounts with new customers.
  • Manage account-specific product range, store distribution, pricing, promotion and brand activation plans to profitably grow sales and market share
  • Analyse market, consumer, category, competitor, financial and operational factors to identify opportunities and risks in order to deliver improved commercial results.

THE PERSON

  • Key / National Account sales experience preferably with customers such as National retailers, Builders Merchants and DIY Retail.
  • Experience across DIY/Hardware categories or similar.
  • Excellent commercial, negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
  • Empathetic with an ability to appreciate what our suppliers and customers want
  • Excellent organisational and analytical skills.
  • Strong computer skills (Excel and PowerPoint) are essential.

Salary guide of £50-55k plus Bonus and Car plus Hybrid working from a base in Southern England.
