Site Based – North Manchester, M24 4NE

Salary - £11.44 per hour

Hours – 20 hours per week (Monday to Friday – 4 hours per day – 12pm to 4pm)

Please Note – Applicants must be aged 18+ and eligible to work in the UK

We are currently recruiting an Administrator/Operative to join us on a permanent basis within a busy warehouse team.

The role will involve understanding customer packing requirements and delivery procedures, and relaying this information to the team to ensure quality standards are upheld. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, enthusiastic, computer literate and display a willingness to learn & develop their skills within the business.

We are looking for somebody with a can-do attitude who can maintain their performance level, manage their time and prioritise their workload in a busy and challenging environment.

The warehouse Administrator/operative will assist the team in the warehouse, ensuring a high level of administration support and that the warehouse runs smoothly with all tasks completed in an accurate and timely manner.

Role Responsibilities

  • Packing/unpacking
  • Picking
  • Stock QC
  • Stock counts
  • FLT (loading/unloading)
  • Coordinate goods-out operation by understanding multiple customer delivery procedures
  • Create barcodes / end carton labels / packing lists / delivery notes
  • Relay special packing instructions to peers and help to ensure high quality packing standards
  • Handle the day-to-day dispatch on various platforms (UPS/Royal Mail/Pace Logistics/Multicity Couriers)
  • General warehouse administration duties
  • Ensure warehouse and goods in / out area is tidy and free of clutter.
  • Follow and promote a positive health and safety culture.

Skills Required

  • Previous experience of working in an office or warehouse environment is required.
  • MUST be computer literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office & Outlook
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Organised & capable of managing time & prioritising workload
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good work ethic
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Confidence to use initiative
  • Ability to handle pressurised situations / tight deadlines
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and improve
