A Part Time Accounts Assistant is being recruited exclusively by Bond Williams Accounting and Finance for our Poole based client. It is all office based for 22.5 hours per week, but these hours can be worked to suit the individual.
Reporting to the Office Manager, you would have responsibility for:
Processing invoices, income receipts and staff expenses
Maintaining fixed asset register
Balance sheet reconciliations including accruals and prepayments
Preparation of a budget control statement for review by senior team
Banking, bank reconciliations and payments
VAT returns
Handling all accounting queries
Liaising with external payroll and pension providers
Oversight of purchasing and working with others to ensure best value when procuring supplies and services
Providing support to the Accountant at year end
Suitable Candidate
Good level of academic achievements and ideally at least up to AAT 3
Previous experience in a similar varied role using computerised accounts software - experience of Xero an advantage
Proficiency in Excel including manipulating data, conducting analysis and generating insights using formulaes
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Excellent attention to detail
