Management Accountant

My client is a well-respected manufacturing business with ambitious plans for continued expansion.

FRS have been enlisted to assist with the recruitment of a Management Accountant.
This vacancy will be supported by an excellent and high calibre Finance Director and offers excellent scope for development as the company continues to grow.

The ideal candidate will Qualified / Part Qualified AAT / ACCA / CIMA with at least 1-2 years prior experience within Management Accounting.

The role will provide accountability and responsibility from the outset, with immediate management accounting responsibility for small businesses.

Duties

  • Responsible for assisting with the production of timely and accurate information for the monthly management report pack
  • Responsible for assisting with the production of accurate and useful information for internal management accounts
  • Improve content, accuracy, and efficiency of internal financial & management reporting
  • Work closely with the Financial Controller to record and publish accurate financial results and improve company performance
  • Demonstrate competence in all finance functions to provide support and cover when necessary
  • Completion & submission of monthly board pack & associated documents to senior management
  • Ensure Balance Sheet reconciliations are completed to a required standard
  • Generate bank payments and maintain up-to-date payment templates
  • Compile journals, and identify appropriate prepayments and accruals, to support accurate financial reporting at month end
  • Submission of VAT returns through Sage under the Making Tax Digital rules
