Grants Officer

Our client is looking for an experienced Grants Fundraiser to join them and make a significant impact on their work with young people in central Doncaster.

They are currently finalising their next Forward Plan, with an ambition to create an inclusive, vibrant community, committed to everyone having a fair chance to discover who they are and what they can become. They currently work with children and young people aged 5 to 30.

Their priority programmes include support coaching for young people, community activity sessions, sustaining their accommodation provision for vulnerable young adults and establishing how they can best support more young people on the homelessness pathway. They have some great spaces that are in need of development, and they expect that both capital and revenue funding will be included in your workload. They also look for smaller grants during the course of the year, including for food for their residents and supplies for their art groups, and they hope to recruit volunteers to assist with the smaller and less complex bids.

You would – for now – be their only Grants Officer, so you should be familiar with the whole cycle of applications and monitoring and able to work independently. This is a fabulous opportunity to make your mark on young lives in Doncaster and take our client's fundraising to the next level.

Pay and Hours

£30,725 salary (based on 40 hours weekly).

They have arrangements for remote working for those who have private office space at home. Work on site will be needed to understand and engage with the full range of work, and to attend staff meetings and meetings with potential and ongoing funders. They would generally expect that to be one or two variable days each week.

Please have your application with our client by 5pm on 4th October.

All applications are scored against their person specification.

Please note that they are only able to contact shortlisted candidates. If you do not hear from our client within two weeks of the closing date, you have unfortunately not been successful on this occasion.
