Job Title: Steel Erector
Location: Chatham, United Kingdom
We're currently looking for a skilled Steel Erector to join our client's team in Chatham. As a Steel Erector, you'll be vital in the construction process, ensuring the safe and efficient assembly of steel structures according to project specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to understand project requirements.
- Erect and dismantle steel structures like beams, columns, and frames.
- Operate equipment such as cranes, hoists, and cherry pickers to lift and position steel components.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Work closely with team members and contractors to complete projects on schedule.
- Keep tools and equipment in good working condition.
Requirements:
- Hold a valid Blue CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card.
- Have NVQ Level 2 certification in Steel Erecting or an equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience as a Steel Erector in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction methods and techniques.
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
