Job Title: Steel Erector

Location: Chatham, United Kingdom

We're currently looking for a skilled Steel Erector to join our client's team in Chatham. As a Steel Erector, you'll be vital in the construction process, ensuring the safe and efficient assembly of steel structures according to project specifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to understand project requirements.
  • Erect and dismantle steel structures like beams, columns, and frames.
  • Operate equipment such as cranes, hoists, and cherry pickers to lift and position steel components.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Work closely with team members and contractors to complete projects on schedule.
  • Keep tools and equipment in good working condition.

Requirements:

  • Hold a valid Blue CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card.
  • Have NVQ Level 2 certification in Steel Erecting or an equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience as a Steel Erector in the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods and techniques.
  • Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
