Graduate Structural Engineer

We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Clients civil and structural engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of structural projects, from conception through to completion, in both domestic and commercial sectors. The successful candidate will be part of a small, dedicated team, working in a relaxed office setting within a company that values diversity and promotes an inclusive culture.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Involvement in projects of varying scale from conception through to completion.
- Assessing and understanding project requirements.
- Undertaking design across a number of disciplines.
- Agreeing timescales and specifications with clients and managers.
- Preparation of documents and reports.
- Working towards Chartered status and maintaining CPD training.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in civil/structural engineering.
- Clear and efficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Confident personality with the ability to liaise with clients and contractors.
- Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Masterseries, TEDDS, etc.
- Competence in Microsoft Office to produce project-related documents.
- Commitment to professional excellence and personal development.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Flexible approach to work, with the ability to prioritise and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Ability to produce plans, write reports to support planning applications, design calculations, and construction drawings.
- Capability to interact with fellow professionals on multidisciplinary projects and cooperate accordingly.
