Are you experienced in providing support to children and young people with Special Educational Needs and disabilities? Are you an inspiring educator seeking a fresh opportunity? Randstad Education collaborates with specialist schools across Liverpool, aiding children and young individuals with a spectrum of Special Educational Needs. We are in search of dedicated, confident, and patient educators to join our team and support young learners with various Special Needs at the earliest. This term-time position presents an excellent chance to contribute to a dedicated department, with potential for permanent placement within the school. You'll engage with children and youth with a wide array of Special Educational Needs, including CLD, PMLD, SLD, ADHD, and Autism. While previous experience in school environments or with young learners is advantageous, it is not mandatory.

Initially offered on a contractual basis, there's potential for this role to transition into a permanent position for the right candidate. This is a full-time, long-term commitment starting as soon as possible, spanning the remainder of the academic year within an SEN setting.

Roles and Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will work with children and youth exhibiting a variety of Special Educational Needs, including Autism and ADHD. The school seeks a confident, creative, and resilient behavior mentor capable of fostering positive learning relationships with young individuals.

  • Demonstrated experience working with SEN pupils in school environments
  • Patient, passionate, and professional demeanor
  • Deliver lessons across diverse classes
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons to students
  • Demonstrate confidence, punctuality, and eagerness
  • Develop lessons aligned with the P Scales curriculum
  • Foster positive learning relationships with SEN pupils
  • Available for an immediate start
  • Excellent communication and management abilities
  • Support students with a spectrum of Special Educational Needs, including MLD, PMLD, SLD, ADHD, and Physical Disabilities
  • Strong work ethic and a positive outlook
