Learning Support Assistant - Secondary School, Greenwich

Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time, long-term (until the end of the academic year)
Salary: Dependent on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students in both one-to-one and group settings
- Assist students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them to engage with the curriculum and school life
- Work closely with teaching staff to deliver targeted learning interventions and differentiated lessons
- Support the emotional, social, and academic development of students
- Promote independence and positive behaviour within the classroom
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and specialists to ensure the best outcomes for students
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children in a school or similar setting is essential
- A DBS on the update service is required
- Experience or understanding of SEND is desired (strongly encouraged to apply even if not extensive)
- Excellent communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude
- The ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents
