Qc Inspector

We are seeking a Quality Control Inspector with a keen eye for detail and a proactive attitude to ensure the integrity and compliance of our products. The ideal candidate will have experience in the inspection of electrical/mechanical products within an Oil and Gas/Petro-Chemical/ Pharmaceutical environment and be familiar with industry standards.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Conduct dimensional inspections to design drawings for form, fit, and function using various measuring tools.
  • Perform electrical circuit resistance tests, coating thickness and condition checks, and Positive Material Identification (PMI).
  • Review material and work test reports for traceability and compliance with order specifications.
  • Communicate with external providers regarding product rejections and corrective actions.
  • Inspect and verify parts against orders, conduct visual and electrical testing of spares orders, and process them for dispatch.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records, both hard and soft copies.
  • Liaise with Engineers, Production Supervisors, and production staff to resolve any issues with heater bundles, pressure vessels, and control panels.
  • Support and train new staff as required.
  • Work in accordance with Quality and Health & Safety Management systems meeting the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001.
  • Undertake additional tasks as part of the Quality Control team and ensure compliance with all relevant standards and internal policies.

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Good computer literacy.
  • Experience with hazardous area and high-pressure equipment manufacture.
  • Knowledge of inspection of electrical/mechanical products within relevant industries.
  • Proficiency in using standard measuring equipment and reading engineering drawings.
  • Understanding of ATEX, PD5500, and related standards.
