Fundraising Officer
We are seeking a proactive Fundraising Officer to secure income from trusts and grants as well as support with corporate partnerships and generate vital income for a charity that is committed to making life better for people and communities facing challenges in Shropshire.
Position: Fundraising Officer
Salary: £28,282 per annum (pro-rata for 22.5 hours)
Location: Shrewsbury (Hybrid working available)
Hours: 22.5 hours per week (flexible)

About the Role:
As Fundraising Officer, you will work closely with the Fundraising Development Manager to drive trusts and grants income, corporate income and support other income-generating initiatives. Your role will focus on identifying appropriate trusts and grants to apply to in line with Community Resource's mission and values alongside supporting the Fundraising Development Manager with corporate income generation to secure sustainable funding for projects. Additionally, you will assist with wider fundraising initiatives, ensuring the charity maintains a balanced and diverse income portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and develop grant and trust funding applications to diversify income sources
- Support with corporate partnerships to secure income
- Engage with high-value donors and corporate supporters
- Track and report on income, ensuring alignment with organisational goals
- Maintain strong relationships with funders and corporate partners, ensuring accountability and engagement
About You:
You will be an enthusiastic fundraising professional with experience in developing corporate partnerships and securing funding. Your communication and organisational skills will be excellent, allowing you to engage and manage long-term relationships with funders effectively. With a strong understanding of corporate social responsibility and a proactive approach, you will be well-equipped to help drive fundraising activities forward.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Experience in corporate fundraising, grants, and trust applications
- Proven relationship management and proposal-writing abilities
- Knowledge of the charity sector and corporate social responsibility trends
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
