Our client is a globally recognised organisation, are currently seeking an Interim Finance Business Partner to join their Financial Operations team for a 6 month contract. This role offers the opportunity for the successful candidate to have the chance to provide key financial insight and optimise inventory cost under Financial Regulations. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional with extensive experience in business partnering within large, complex organisations.
As a Finance Business Partner, you will play a critical role within our client's Financial Operations team. Your primary responsibility will be providing key financial insight into their Inventory position to key internal stakeholders. You will ensure there is a robust understanding of both the P&L and Balance Sheet Inventory position across your team. Your role will also involve managing month-end reporting, ensuring that variances to budgets and forecasts are clearly defined and well communicated. You will also be responsible for identifying opportunities for process and systems improvements, working closely with transformation teams to implement solutions.
- Provide overall responsibility for financial reporting of the Inventory position to internal stakeholders
- Ensure robust understanding of both the P&L and Balance Sheet Inventory position across the team
- Responsible for month end reporting, ensuring clear communication of variances to budgets and forecasts
- Manage the Inventory budgeting and planning process, including management of a monthly rolling forecast
- Identify and support delivery of Inventory related Financial Regulation optimisation initiatives
- Establish strong relationships with the Operational team
- Act as financial representative for inventory reporting in operational meetings
- Provide direction to the Cost Analyst team on priorities and data insight queries
- Ensure co-ordination and alignment of the Inventory position across relevant teams
- Manage information flow to inform accurate accounting for Inventory
The ideal candidate for this Interim Finance Business Partner role will be CIMA/ACCA qualified with extensive post-qualified experience in Finance Business Partnering or a similar role within large, complex organisations. You should have previous experience of complex Inventory Management in a manufacturing environment and be able to build and maintain excellent cross-functional working relationships. Your communication skills will be of a high level, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial colleagues. You should be adaptable and forward-looking, thriving in a fast-paced working environment. Experience of managing a team and SAP would be advantageous.
- CIMA/ACCA qualified with extensive post qualified experience in Finance Business Partnering or similar role
- Previous experience of complex Inventory Management in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to build and maintain excellent cross functional working relationships
- Effective communicator that can present complex financial information to non-financial colleagues
- Adaptable and forward looking, able to thrive in a fast-paced working environment
- Attention to detail and proficiency to self-review
- Experience of managing a team
- Experience of SAP would be an advantage
- Strong Communicator with the ability to influence key decisions
- Project Management experience desirable
