Children's Residential Support Worker
Location: Steeton, BD20
Home Type: 3-bed EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties)
Shift Pattern: 2 days on, 4 days off
Pay:
- Unqualified: £11.44 per hour (rises to £11.90 per hour after probation)
- NVQ Qualified: £11.90 per hour (rises to £12.25 per hour after probation)
- Sleep-in Shifts: £85 per sleep (optional)
Role Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Children's Residential Support Worker for our 3-bed EBD home in Steeton, BD20. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy engaging with children through activities and providing a supportive and nurturing environment, especially for the young boy who is particularly energetic due to his age.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care and support for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
- Engage in activities and create a positive, stimulating environment.
- Develop and implement individual care plans for each child.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times.
- Collaborate with the team to maintain a supportive and caring atmosphere.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a children's residential setting is desirable.
- NVQ qualification in Childcare or equivalent is desirable.
- A genuine passion for working with children and young people.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A driving license is preferred, but strong non-drivers will be considered.
- Flexibility to pick up extra shifts and sleep-in shifts if desired.
