I am currently looking for a Full-Time SEND Teaching Assistant to join a wonderful Primary School in Weston-Super-Mare.

This school is a great place for children to be encouraged to use every chance and opportunity they get to explore and develop their learning journey. This is a high performing, ambitious school with a team of inspirational and committed staff.

The Role

The school is looking for a compassionate, caring, empathetic candidate who has experience working with SEND children.

You must be confident with behaviour management strategies and happy to be adaptable, supporting the Class Teacher when needed.

You will be expected to:

  • Have experience with SEND children.
  • Inspire pupils to be confident and independent
  • Hold strong positive behaviour management strategies.
  • Be flexible and encouraging when working with a pupil.
  • Be adaptable with the child's learning environment.
  • Communicate and observe personal and learning development.
  • Support children in a group setting, using objects to support and encourage learning.
