**Management Accountant
- Annual Salary: £50k - £55k (DOE)

- Job Type: Full-time (Hybrid - 4 days in office, 1 day at home)
We are seeking a Management Accountant to join our fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) business. This role is ideal for a proactive individual with a strong background in finance within a manufacturing environment, preferably FMCG. The successful candidate will be involved in a range of accounting activities, from month-end close to budgeting and forecasting, and will play a key role in supporting the site leadership team.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Carry out month-end close activities, including calculating accruals/prepayments, processing orders and inventory management.
- Prepare accounts for review and key KPIs, reporting into Group consolidation systems.
- Work closely with our Business Service Centre to ensure a smooth and aligned month-end close.
- Prepare weekly management P&L reports, including analysis of revenue, labour, production variances, PPVs, waste, and overheads.
- Track departmental spend versus budget/forecast and facilitate monthly reviews with budget holders.
- Oversee site waste control and reporting, supporting the Operations team with process order variance analysis.
- Assist with monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, and standard costing.
- Manage Capex spend process, including preparation of requests, forecasting, tracking of cash out, and post-implementation reviews.
- Prepare monthly VAT returns and other local regulatory reporting as required.
- Provide MasterData support, including new setups and ensuring ongoing accuracy.
- Support with the completion of annual external audits and internal audits as needed.
- Act as a business partner to the site leadership in various capacities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A relevant accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA) or qualified by experience (QBE).
- Advanced stage part-qualified candidates will also be considered.
- Strong experience with SAP is highly desirable.
- Previous finance team experience in a manufacturing environment is essential, FMCG preferred.
