About the role

We are looking for a customer focused IT Service Engineer to to join our IT Service Desk Team.

On the Job you will:

  • Along with your other team members be the first point of contact for colleagues in the business who have IT issues.
  • Take ownership of IT Service Desk calls and if unable to resolve on initial contact, research solutions to the problem and where needed escalate to internal IT Teams or third party suppliers / support.
  • Install and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications; monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks; troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults; replacing parts as required; providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports; repairing faults or setting up systems as required and supporting the roll-out of new applications;
  • Managing user accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues
  • Help with the testing of new systems and hardware

About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys connecting with a diverse range of people and who understands the importance of delivering an efficient and effective service to all our customers.

For this role you will need:

  • Good broad knowledge of IT and ideally Microsoft Teams
  • I have strong verbal and written communication skills and am able to understand and exchange information that might be complicated
  • Experience of providing IT Support in the workplace

You will ideally have skills and attributes that include:

  • Good communication skills
  • The ability to work as part of a team and alone
  • good problem solving skills
  • good time management skills
