Residential Support Worker

Location: Blackburn

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Hours: Full-time and Part-time, shifts may vary.

Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children and young adults? Do you have experience working with children, patience, and excellent communication skills? We are seeking a dedicated Residential Support Worker to join our team and contribute to providing exceptional care and support to our young residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing day-to-day care and support to residents in a residential or school setting.
  • Ensuring the physical, emotional, and social well-being of residents.
  • Collaborating with other staff members to create and maintain a supportive environment.
  • Communicating effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Assisting residents with daily activities and promoting independence.
  • Following care plans and procedures accurately.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean environment for residents.

Requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Preferably possess an Enhanced DBS check or DBS on the Update Service. If not, we can assist with the application process.
  • Experience working with children or young adults, especially those with special needs or disabilities.
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding towards the needs of vulnerable individuals.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently when required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
