We are currently recruiting for a Technical Author in London.
Pay rate: £500 - £518.13 per day.
Hours: Full time (36hrs per week).
Contract duration: Temporary ongoing
Duties:
Champion and implement effective project delivery, supporting the vision to deliver effective technology to counter terrorism, including:
A technical writer is an expert practitioner with a deep understanding of technology and the needs of technologists.
A lead technical writer is an expert practitioner who assures the quality of technical writing across teams and the alignment to strategy.
At this role level, you will:
- standardise tools and ways of communicating, along with processes
- work closely with service managers, technology leaders and senior stakeholders to resource teams and resolve problems
- promote the discipline of technical writing
- engage with the cross-government community
- keep up to date with industry changes
Essential experience:
- Experience of working on large scale Business Change and IT enabled Transformation Programmes.
- Experience of working in a complex high profile political environment.
- Sufficient security clearance to operate in a policing environment and with partners (Currently SC level required).
- Minimum of 5 Years' experience working within Central Government projects.
- Must be able to show ability to manage multiple suppliers including large IT Service providers.
- Has experience of preparing Central Government technical documents.
