Role: Corporate Account Handler

Location: Leeds (East)

Salary: c£43k to c£50k DOE + 30 days holiday, 7% pension contribution and a range of other fantastic benefits

We are delighted to be assisting this growing independent broker who have been extremely successful during the 5 years of their existence in the Leeds area, with the team now up to 10 and the need to add an additional Account Handler to work closely with the Branch Director and one of the Account Executives.

Not one of the usual names to be banded around in the market when it comes to recruitment, but certainly one most people have heard of due to their growing presence across the UK and the success they have had in Yorkshire. They have an extremely refreshing approach and still in the process of building their structure in Leeds so there is tons of scope for progression.

Role:

  • You will be responsible for an existing portfolio which is made up by clients with premiums ranging from £30,000 to £1.1m (large combined)
  • Handling and broking of new business and renewals, processing any MTA's and keeping an eye on any claims being managed by the centralised team
  • The portfolio is made up by a very broad range of industry sectors including Retailers, Manufacturers, Engineers, Construction and Property Owners
  • Work alongside a team of Placement Brokers who will assist with larger, more complex risks to ensure the best possible outcome for the client
  • Attend meetings with clients alongside Account Executives and gain a better understanding of the clients needs and expectations
  • You will be using the Acturis system on a daily basis for all general tasks

Experience:

  • You will have at least 5 years' experience in commercial insurance broking
  • You will possess all around commercial knowledge, such as Property Owners, PI, Cyber & D&O and have handled premiums above £10,000 on a regular basis
  • Ideally be Cert CII qualified
  • Knowledge of Acturis is desirable

They are offering a salary between £43k and £50k, along with 30 days holiday, a 7% pension contribution, life assurance, private medical, support for CII qualifications, entry into their company shares scheme and hybrid working with 2 days from home.
