Description
The key responsibilities of the Assistant Management Accountant include:
- Performing financial analysis and reporting to management as needed.
- Coordinating with finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines.
- Evaluating computerised accounting systems and providing recommendations to IT team for performance improvements.
- Generating financial reports and statements to Managers for review.
- Analysing financial discrepancies and recommending effective resolutions.
- Monitoring expenditures, analysing revenues and determining budget variances and reporting the same to management.
- Responding to accounting inquiries from management in a timely fashion.
- Providing guidance to other Accountants when needed.
Profile
A successful Assistant Management Accountant should have:
- Ideally working towards accountancy qualifications such as AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in managing large amounts of data and ability to interpret and analyse financial statistics and translate data into usable information.
- Excellent numerical skills with an accuracy in detailed numerical work.
- Experience in the industrial/manufacturing sector.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office, accounting software and databases.
