Location: Airdrie
Position: Full-time / Permanent
Salary: Depending on skills and experience
Hours: 45 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8:00 - 17:30)
Skills Required:
- NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience in lorry-mounted cranes
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience maintaining, servicing, and repairing various crane and lifting equipment
- Knowledge of LOLER regulations
- Ability to perform and oversee loader testing
- Team management and decision-making skills regarding equipment condition and use
- Strong relationship-building skills and customer influence abilities
- Full and clean driving licence
- Capability to lead and train junior engineers
Specific Tasks Include:
- Reporting to Crane Department Management and ensuring compliance with Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental, and Best Practices Policies
- Performing preventative maintenance and servicing to prolong crane life
- Achieving first-time fix rates to reduce avoidable costs
- Advising on crane-related and lifting operation matters
- Reducing crane breakdowns through preventative maintenance
- Conducting fault diagnosis and root cause analysis on failed components
- Completing Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and Point of Work Risk Assessments
- Collating crane performance data and sending monthly reports to the manager
- Utilising continuous improvement and problem-solving techniques to optimise crane availability, reliability, and performance
