Learning Support Asisstant

Horizon Teachers are currently working with an Ofsted good rated Primary School in Wandsworth, that are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to work with their Reception class, and also a Learning Support Assistant to work within their year 5 class.

You will be working 1:1 with the children as they need extra support to keep them engaged within lessons and to help the class teacher manage their behaviour. You will also be supporting the rest of the children within the class on a general basis. This school has great transport links from both South West London and West London.

The role is to start after October half-term, on a full-time basis until July 2025, and could potentially continue into the next academic year. This will be a very rewarding role for the right person and will pay up to £550 per week.

What the school are looking for in their Learning Support Assistants:

  • Experience supporting children within a Nursery or School setting.
  • Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs is very desirable.
  • Confident working 1:1 and within small groups of children
  • Be able to assist the class teacher with classroom preparation
