Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly organised and motivated Technical Administrator to join the Engineering team. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Engineering and possess a strong understanding of manufacturing and production processes. This role is crucial within our larger business, providing essential support to our engineering team and facilitating the successful completion of key projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Department Manager and Engineer with project administration and coordination.
  • Maintain and organise project documentation, ensuring all records are up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Support the team in the preparation of technical reports, drawings, BOMs and specifications.
  • Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Monitor project timelines and milestones, providing updates and ensuring adherence to schedules.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements within the engineering department.
  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing and production processes.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management software.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
