Job Advert: Project Manager - Business Support (Temporary)

Our client, a leading organisation within the public sector, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager to join their team on a temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a high-profile programme with a deadline of March 2026. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of milestones and supporting the overall success of the programme.

Role: Project Manager - Business Support

Contract Type: Temporary

Number of People Required: 1

Contract Length: 6 months

Driving Required: No

Working Pattern: Full Time

Daily Rate: £350 - Umbrella

This is a full-time position, and although there is no requirement for driving, you will be expected to work in the office for 2-3 days.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop programme and project delivery infrastructure to facilitate successful delivery
  • Maintain programme and project records
  • Collect outcomes and performance information
  • Prepare related briefings, presentations, and updates
  • Support financial management and monitoring
  • Take part in procurement activities
  • Organise events and meetings
  • Provide input into programme and project development
  • Liaise with a range of internal and external partners
  • Support the communications and engagement strategy
  • Assist the Programme Manager as required

Key Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • Previous project management experience
  • Finance management skills
  • Proficiency in data and information analysis
  • Experience of working in a local government setting
  • Degree level qualification or equivalent relevant experience
  • Understanding of the challenges in delivering transport and regeneration projects (beneficial)
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, especially spreadsheets and presentations

Preferred Experience and Skill Set:

  • Understanding of the challenges of delivering transport and regeneration projects (beneficial)
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, especially spreadsheets and presentations
