Process Engineering Manager

Elevation Recruitment Groups technical division are working with a market leading manufacturer in Derbyshire as they seek to strengthen their senior leadership team through the hire of a Process Engineering Manager. Working as a technical specialist, leading and guiding the operational excellence strategy through a data driven approach, you will be a key figurehead in the continuing development of the whole plant.

Process Engineering Manager's duties and responsibilities:

  • Primarily responsible for the process / process engineering effectiveness site wide working to improvement and optimise equipment, processes, engineering and production lines
  • Lead or support leadership cross functionally on day to day issues and capital investment projects. Particularly on technical elements.
  • Ensure that the Manufacturing Process and Systems team are engaged and developed thus ensure they meet the current and future development, technical and capacity needs
  • Input into the teams operational strategy including capex justifications for site improvements and new equipment
  • Support the set up, monitoring and improvement of process compliance to Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety and Environmental systems. Maintain process documentation to support processes and all external and internal audit criteria.
  • Initiate and stimulate production process and system innovation and improvements, utilize SPC, correlation analysis. continuous and lean improvement tools and techniques, analyze and test production process adjustments.
  • Work with Production, Engineering, Quality and Development Managers to set priorities, optimize formulations and efficiencies and support technical and aesthetic product developments.
  • Use a data drive SPC / Six Sigma approach to justifying change

Process Engineering Manager's experience and qualifications (desirable)

  • Process / Production Engineering experience, within manufacturing, with the ability to lead process development through a data driven approach
  • Six Sigma Green or Belt Belt (preferred)
  • University Degree or similar in engineering or chemicals/chemistry
  • Extensive Manufacturing background / change management / Process Experience (ideally 6-10 years +)
