Engineering Lead

Shift Pattern: Day shift - 39 hours per week, working either 07.00 until 16.00 or 08:00 until 17.00. and Fridays 7.00 until 12.00, with designated breaks

Location: Accrofab (Derby), DE21 7RX.

Opportunity Summary:

We currently have a vacancy within our Engineering Department for a Engineering Lead. We are looking for candidates who have relevant and proven experience, seeking an opportunity to join a growing Organisation.

Role Accountabilities:

  • Planning and distribution of work across resource, in conjunction with the Commercial Manager
  • Manage NPI - Reporting of First Time Through and Right First Time progress and coordinating activities by others to enable nominated NPI commitments to be met. Also be comfortable in clear reporting on these topics.
  • Production of Works Orders including setting up a new Bill of Material, setting up Sales Order, production of routings on Javelin, raising Works Orders on Javelin, production of 'First Time Through' sheet and Risk Assessment.
  • Competence in 8D, 5 Why and other such problem solving techniques to support both the department and company development.
  • Establishing a comprehensive and documented set of Engineering data to control and improve the performance of Quality, Cost and Delivery in line with required targets and standards.
  • Lead the Engineering Team to deliver products on time, within budget and right first time.
  • Support the Bid/No Bid process to ensure alignment of new product to business capability and strategy.
  • Support commercial analysis, testing and development of company cost and commercial models
  • Support training and development of staff.
