Non Executive Directors - SHAL Housing

SHAL Housing is seeking up to five Non Executive Directors, including a Chair of their Finance, Audit & Risk Committee.

Time Commitment: 6 Board Meetings + Committee meetings per annum

Remuneration: Chair of Committee £3,000 pa, Board member £2,500 pa

Moon Executive Search is delighted to be retained search partners to SHAL Housing to identify a number of key Non-Executive Directors for their board.

SHAL Housing is a not-for-profit community housing association with approximately 770 homes across Somerset. Their purpose has always been to build and let homes for families and individuals who are homeless and in housing need. Although SHAL is a smaller housing association, it has a big ambition to be the best they can be, to develop new homes, to improve the homes they have already and to work with their partners and the people who rent their homes to build a sense of community within a sustainable environment.

The SHAL board operates to a maximum tenure of six years, in line with the National Housing Federation's Code of Governance, and currently have a number of board members nearing the end of their terms.

As a Non-Executive Director, you will stand back from the day-to-day running of SHAL, working with the executive team as required to facilitate the strategic decision-making process.

We are seeking board members whose professional experience means that they are able to offer a unique perspective in relation to corporate governance, strategy, risk management and succession planning.
