We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Food Technology Teacher to join our dynamic team.

Role Overview:

As a Food Technology Teacher, you will inspire students through engaging and practical lessons in food preparation, nutrition, and culinary arts. You will play a pivotal role in developing students' understanding of food science and healthy eating habits. This position requires a creative and dedicated educator who can in-still a love for food technology in our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons to students at KS3 and KS4, with potential opportunities to teach KS5.
  • Plan and prepare innovative schemes of work and lesson plans that align with curriculum objectives.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on students' progress, development, and achievement in Food Technology.
  • Provide constructive feedback to support students' culinary skills and academic growth.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Food Technology curriculum and departmental initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Food Technology, Culinary Arts, or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level, with a successful track record in student achievement.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Food Technology curriculum requirements and contemporary teaching methods.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Commitment to promoting healthy eating habits and fostering creativity in culinary arts.
  • A collaborative and proactive approach to working within a team environment.
