Procurement Manager - Construction | £65,000 - £75,000 | Bishops Stortford (3 days WFH)
Are you savvy about your steel selection? A confirmed concrete connoisseur?
This successful SME construction specialist have an impressive selection of work on the go currently, and due to this they want to reassess & refine their procurement agenda. This brand-new role will take over control of the Procurement department, with a relatively small team, reporting straight into the MD.
Your role will initially involve more transactional procurement elements, but over a relatively short period of time this will evolve into more strategic projects. Although due to the SME nature of the business, they need people who don't have a "that's not my job" mentality. Many hats mindset required here!
There's a global business behind this successful SME, so you'll need to be able to form solid relationships with your counterparts spread out all across the world. Along with getting on with your UK colleagues too, of course!

What will you need?
- Management experience within a procurement or purchasing function - small team is ok
- Knowledge of construction contracts & experience of procurement within the construction sector
- A positive can-do mentality, happy to assist the business with both tactical & strategic requirements
