The opportunity:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Talent Development Coordinator to join the Markel team in London on a one year FTC. You will be a member of a successful internal talent development team spanning across both the UK and USA offices. The Talent Development Coordinator position is responsible for the coordination of the delivery of day-to-day administration across the various talent programs and processes, in support of the Global Talent Development team. The role will involve working our central London office 4 days per week with 1 day per week working from home.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting inhouse and virtual talent events across Interns, Early Careers, Learning & Development Training
  • Load Talent Development courses in Workday Learning (ATS/HR system), run reporting and communicate attendance to facilitators so that they are prepared in a timely manner
  • Coordinate logistics for Talent Development training and events both onsite and at remote locations
  • Responsible for running and summarising reports and creating compelling presentations using PowerPoint
  • Create documentation as needed to support Talent Development owned training
  • Process and track invoices related to Global Talent Development programs
  • Manage the My Learning inbox
  • Coordinate study and professional qualifications process
  • Support strategic HR projects across the Talent Development team

Our must haves:

  • Have strong administration skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office products, in particular, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Have strong organisation, attention to detail, prioritisation and time management skills
  • Be a proactive, self-starter with the ability to handle sensitive/confidential matters
  • Have experience working in a fast-paced environment, dealing with high volumes
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and a willingness to proactively support employees, managers and the HR team
  • Be highly autonomous, but also able to work in a collaborative, supportive team. You should be able to work independently and as a part of a team, ensuring the job gets done
