The Supplier Account Manager

will play a critical role in driving the performance of the business by managing our portfolio of waste and compliance partners.

The role involves negotiating pricing, ensuring service quality, resolving issues, and maintaining strong supplier partnerships. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supplier relationship management, be comfortable with data and demonstrate the ability to drive for improvements and solutions across their supplier accounts.

Supplier Performance and Relationship Management:

  • Establish, maintain, and nurture strong relationships with current and prospective suppliers.
  • Analyse data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improving supplier relationships and service delivery.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews with suppliers to ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs), and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • With the support of your Supplier Management Executive, manage and maintain our supplier order book, ensuring suppliers meet SLA deadlines.
  • Reporting important information from Suppliers to Internal stakeholders
  • Manage the resolution of supplier non-conformances.

Market Analysis, Price Negotiations and Portfolio Management:

  • Analyse market data against supplier pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Negotiate pricing and service agreements with suppliers to ensure we can continue to offer the best value to our 50,000+ customers.
  • Lead mobilisation projects to ensure cost saving opportunities are achieved where necessary.

Quality Assurance & Compliance:

  • Collaborate with the compliance officer to ensure our suppliers perform their duties in line with required regulatory standard and support in rectifying any non-compliance issues.
  • Onboarding of suppliers
  • Remain up to date with key legislation and how it relates to Direct365 our suppliers and customers.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with internal teams, including sales, operations, and customer service, to align supplier activities with business needs.
  • Reporting important information from Suppliers to Internal stakeholders
  • Work on business improvement projects that will improve internal and external processes in relation to supplier management.

Line Management and Development:

  • Provide support and guidance to your direct report (Supplier Management Executive)
  • Report to Business Performance Manager on team performance

Experience required.

We are looking to speak with individuals with the following skills/ experience:

Essential

  • Proven track record of managing large accounts either supplier or customer facing
  • Evidence of cost and/or contractual negotiations
  • Management of data using Excel and power bi (or other business performance tools)

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Waste, Compliance services or Facilities Management industry
  • Previous line manager experience
