IT Support Technician Apprentice

Overview:
Palletways is seeking a highly motivated IT First Line Apprentice to join our dynamic IT team.
This is a unique opportunity to be a part of a rapidly growing business and make a significant impact in the support function of our IT department.

The Role / Duties:
You will be responsible for:

  • Providing first line support to Palletways members on our bespoke software and hardware
  • Creating and updating guides for our bespoke software
  • Identifying areas for improvement in member training on our bespoke software
  • Resolving incidents and requests within agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA) targets
  • Communicating with customers, members, and internal staff through various channels, including face-to-face, email and phone

Desired skills and qualities:

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A willingness to embrace change and promote it to others
  • Good computer literacy, including proficiency in Windows and Android
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills with the ability to prioritize workload
  • The ability to work well in a team as well as independently
  • The confidence to propose new ideas and challenge the status quo

Entry requirements:

  • 3 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working week: 40hrs a week.
