Salary : Circa £45,000 - £50,000

We're looking for a Payroll Specialist to manage UK and Ireland Payroll for a global FMCG business. This role would be great for a payroll expert who is comfortable with calculations, reporting and analytics, and ideally, familiar with Dayforce/ Ceridian.

You will be responsible for the end-to-end payroll process and administration of the monthly payroll process, while being responsible for the payroll system and working with the external bureau.

You will also be responsible for payroll and headcount reporting and analytics, providing the wider HR team with regular and ad hoc data as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the end-to-end administration of the monthly payroll process, including collating and auditing all inputs for both UK and Ireland
  • Reconciliation of payroll, benefits and data
  • Answer payroll queries from employees
  • Adhere to payroll policies and procedures and comply with relevant law
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in payroll records
  • Complete payroll reports for record-keeping purposes or managerial review
  • HRBP support e.g., reporting, severance calculations, projects, etc.
  • Prepare and provide relevant data for internal and external audits
  • Monthly pension scheme uploads and processing
  • Supporting the annual pay review and bonus review process from a payroll systems requirements perspective
  • Supporting the C&B Advisor with managing the employee benefits schemes, including support in annual renewal, monthly administration and communication to colleagues
  • Manage vendor relationships with third parties providing services across the HR function e.g. outsource payroll company and benefit providers

Experience required

  • Extensive Payroll experience - understanding of payroll practices, auditing and processing
  • Experience with HMRC reporting
  • Solid knowledge of payroll practice and laws
  • Dayforce / Ceridian experience an advantage
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Power BI desirable
  • Experience of working with company benefits scheme preferrable
  • Outstanding communication and relationship building skills
  • The ability to work effectively with people in a high-growth, fast paced environment and drive results
