Our international client is seeking a Purchasing Manager to oversee a team of three Procurement Administrators. The role requires two days of onsite work and three days of remote work per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the purchasing team, ensuring regular completion of training, development plans, and goal setting.
- Manage the purchasing operations by developing, implementing, and overseeing purchasing strategies, processes, and procedures that align with company goals and enhance operational efficiency.
- Supervise the dashboards and allocate tickets among the team for purchasing tasks.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and growth opportunities to the purchasing team.
- Generate and share reports on purchasing metrics, ticket volumes, and major projects.
- Work with Group Finance to ensure service delivery is within budget and allocated to the correct cost codes.
- Take ownership of and streamline processes for essential purchasing systems.
- Identify and achieve savings and cost avoidance, reporting on the financial benefits realised.
Experience Needed:
- Proven experience managing an operational purchasing team.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Skilled in supplier negotiation, management, and vendor selection.
- Proficient in MS Office suite, especially MS Excel.
- Demonstrated ability in enhancing purchasing processes and systems.
